Fine Wine Investors Enjoy A Vintage Year As Prices Rise By 90%
Fine wine investors have had their best year for over ten
years getting returns of up to 90%. Chateau Lafite Rothshild
1998, which is one of the most traded wines has risen in
value from £103 a bottle in January to £198 or £1240 per
case to £2370. Overall, fine wine prices are
up by 45.7 per cent since January, according to the Liv-ex 100,
a weighted index of top quality wines.
